CASE STUDY: NZ CUSTOMS - QA
Resultex was engaged to review the NZ Customs Information Services Group. This was a three step process including present situation assessment, gap analysis and provision of an information services blueprint to allow NZ Customs to attain IT best practise. The gap analysis was based on the CoBIT methodology, while ensuring a pragmatic New Zealand relevant focus.
The Resultex deliverables included:
- Description of key functions and services.
- Review of governance, management and technical organisational structures
- Description of required capabilities, roles and competencies
- Description of key issues and risks
- Prioritised list of areas identified in the gap analysis phase
- Provision of a blueprint for the future Information Services Group
- High level work plan for implementing the blueprint.
The review assisted NZ Customs to achieve its business objectives by providing a blueprint recommending key areas on which to focus service delivery improvement within their Information Services Group. Additionally NZ Customs were provided a methodology to allow themselves to audit their progress against the blueprint.
