CASE STUDY: TERTIARY EDUCATION COMMISSION - ODS
Resultex provided both the architectural design and the implementation of TEC's Output Data Store (ODS) or Data Warehouse. Designed and built in Oracle Warehouse Builder, the ODS brings together data from disparate systems into one Oracle repository where it is used by business users to analyse the effectiveness of business initiatives.
Resultex personnel gathered and specified business requirements, modelled the data involved, designed the ODS, populated the database and now monitor its operation and effectiveness.
The ODS has provided TEC with an environment where it can monitor the impacts of Government funding policy decisions (TEC distributes more than $2 billion of funds to the tertiary sector), report on the effectiveness of its day-to-day operations and derive performance measurements across the organisation.
