NZ Police
Resultex has been providing services to Police since 1999 in both the IT and business areas, initially to implement the Hood report on INCIS and latterly to introduce new technology in the identification area and enhance business processes. Assignments have included:
- Project/programme management including the disposal of the INCIS mainframe and implementation of alternative and outsourced solutions for the management of infrastructure including contract negotiations.
- Project management of applications development projects including the creation of a GIS mapping system for crime investigation, implementation of a data warehouse, the development of interfaces to Courts and Corrections systems, and various stages in the migration of systems off the Wanganui Law Enforcement System and into the Police in-house National Intelligence Application. Included Justice sector-wide co-ordination and vendor negotiations.
- Project management of the introduction of palm print technology in the fingerprint area, including procurement, contract negotiation and vendor management. Projects also include finger scanning introduction in prisons in conjunction with Corrections and the implementation of "live scan" palm print solutions in Police stations.
- Representation on legislative Implementation Advisory Groups in relationship to technology solutions for the Sentence and Parole Reform and Clean Slate Acts.
- Business change consultancy for Police relating to the emergency communications centre, the centralising of training and the review of strategy, procedures and structure for the Wellington region.
